I have never hidden from you guys that I was not the biggest denim wearer, why ? because for a very long time, I had trouble finding the good fit, the good material and the good design. Nowadays, I purely rely on a very small number of stores that always do me right and I've just added Reitmans to the lineup. Let's be honest, shopping for denim can be hard fo us ladies but my discovery has made my life so much easier and my wallet so much lighter! Reitmans has recently revamped their denim with their #denimlovestories campaign and offer a variety of styles, cuts and sizes for every woman out there. Check out my picks, I had to snap a couple of pics in Jamaïca, the weather was just too tempting ;p

Je ne vous ai jamais caché le fait que je n'étais pas la plus grande fan de jeans, pourquoi ? Car pour un bon moment, je n'arrivais pas à trouver la bonne coupe, le bon matériel et le bon design. Aujourd'hui, je base mes achats sur un très petit nombre de magasins et Reitmans vient d'être ajouté à ma liste. Soyons honnête, magasiner pour des jeans peut s'avérer difficile pour nous les femmes, mais ma récente découverte a non seulement rendu ma vie plus facile, mais a aussi rendu mon portefeuille plus léger! Reitmans a récemment remanié leur collection de denim avec leur campagne de #JeansmonAmour et offrent une grande variété de styles, des coupes et de tailles pour chaque femme. Voici mes choix, bien sûr, j'ai dû prendre quelques photos en Jamaïque, la température était trop tentante :p

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

This month, I tried the very coveted new foundation from the NARS family, the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation. As you may already know, I am not much of a high-coverage foundation girl but once in a while, I like to have a good quality foundation in my stash, that will allow me to look presentable on those really bad skin days. Keep in mind that I have normal skin with an oily t-zone. Personally, I believe this foundation can be very heavy for dry skins, so make sure to get a sample and test it out for a couple of days before investing.The first time I tried the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation, I was really shocked at how little I needed to cover my whole face. I later realized that the best way to apply this foundation, for my taste, is with the beauty blender. The moist in the beauty blender spreads evenly and amazingly the product whilst leaving me with a glowy finish. Something else I tried is mixing a dollop of the foundation with my moisturizer for a tinted-moisturizer effect, simply magical finish. I have never tried a NARS foundation and I think that I may have been officially converted. You can purchase the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation at your local NARS counter or at your nearest Sephora for 57$. A definite must-try in my book. You can see in the following picture, the foundation applied on one half of my face. 

Ce mois-ci, j'ai essayé le fond de teint tant convoité de la famille NARS, le fond de teint NARS All Day Luminous Weightless . Comme vous le savez peut-être, je ne suis pas une grande fan de fond de teint avec haute couvrance, mais de temps en temps, j'aime avoir une base de bonne qualité dans mon tiroir, ce qui me permet d'être présentable lors des journées ou ma peau n'est braiment pas top. Gardez à l'esprit que j'ai la peau normale avec une t-zone huileuse. Personnellement, je crois que ce fond de teint peut être très lourde pour les peaux sèches, alors assurez-vous de vous prendre un échantillon et le tester pendant quelques jours avant d'investir. La première fois que j'ai essayé le fond de teint NARS All Day Luminous Weightless, j'étais vraiment choqué du fait que j'avais besoin qu'une petite goutte pour couvrir tout mon visage. Plus tard, j'ai réalisé que la meilleure façon d'appliquer ce fond de teint est avec le beauty blender. L'humidité dans le beauty blender permet d'étaler uniformément le produit tout en laissant un superbe fini glowy. Une fois façon que j'ai essayé pour appliquer le produit est en le mélangeant avec ma crème de jour pour obtenir l'effet d'un hydratant teinté et ce fût tout simplement magique. Avant ce produit, je n'avais jamais essayé un fond de teint NARS, mais là je crois que je suis officiellement converti. Vous pouvez acheter le fond de teint NARS All Day Luminous Weightless à votre comptoir NARS ou à votre Sephora le plus proche pour 57 $. Un must à essayer dans mon livre. Dermalogica saved my skin and Montreal

I have mentioned before that I do not wear makeup on a daily basis. I pretty much stick to a bare face most of the week on the exception of my teaching days and one day of the weekend. I love to try beauty bits on those days but I much prefer leaving my skin to breathe in between those makeup days. 

Well, for the past couple of days, my skin has been intensely acting up, I do not know if it's the stress but I've been dealing with redness around my chin area and on my forehead, something I've never had before. Prepping for Winter at PointZero

Last month, I paid a little visit at the gorgeous PointZero offices to have a nice glance at the upcoming seasons new offerings. The place was filled from the latest coats from the Point Zero brand and the sister brand Nicole Benisti Signature Collection. It was so hard to choose a favorite but the blue one definitely had a little extra love from me. Let me tell you it was hard to keep a thick winter coat on in the middle of the summer but we always want what we can't have and I was craving a nice winter storm in the middle of August ! Did I really just say that ?! 

Point Zero coats will keep you warm for the crazy winter that's about to drop of us that's for sure. You can go for a more classic look or a sportier look, the Point Zero brand has some for everybody in the family, even the little ones ;)

Taking care of my hair with Kérastase

If you have been reading my blog for a while you must know that I have a ton of hair on my head. If you notice, I have my hair in a bun a lot of times and that's because my hair is WORK and these days I don't have the patience for it. Kérastase sort of entered my life at the perfect moment, it was meant to be.

Kérastase offers a wide range of hair products for all hair types and let's not lie, it is a bit expensive but once in a while it's worth it. I fell upon the Kérastase Oléo-Curl range a couple of weeks ago and it changed the texture of my hair. I had used this line a couple of years ago but was always to lazy to go to the salon to purchase them, now, they are more accessible. 

The Kérastase Oléo-Curl line really tamed my locks and created gorgeous curls that are not filled with frizz, my hair feels so soft and manageable. After washing my hair with the Kérastase Oléo-Curl Shampoo and applying the Kérastase Oléo-Curl Intensif Mask, I add a pea-size of the Kérastase Curl definition Cream and I air dry my air. In the morning, I will pass a flatiron on really wild sections of my hair and I'm ready.

A classic maxi dress is the perfect piece to bring on any kind of vacation. For my Cuban vacation, this Pink Stitch dress was the perfect and comfy dress to throw over my bikini or to accessorize and head on over to diner.

Converse My Converse

At the beginning of the month, I had the chance to attend the Converse even held in Montreal. 

I've worn Converse's since my teenager years and I was so ecstatic to see the new models from the Fall2014 collection.

The Converse Chuck Taylor AllStar collection is absolutely gorgeous. What more can you want than a pair of Converse's that are waterproof ?! These colors are to die for. The perfect pop to any all black outfit!

 Poutine was the perfect topping to a Converse filled room.

All in all Converse is an internationally loved brand and they never seem to disappoint.

With this morning's colder weather in Montreal, I knew the period where I decked out my classic fall colors was approaching very fast.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try the new collaboration between 3.1 Phillip Lim x NARS, an amazing range of nail polishes.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim x NARS collection features 8 limited edition shades including this gorgeous dark blue called Dark Room. The formula on this nail polish is so opaque yet so think and not gloopy. I am such a picky nail polish-formula-person, once it starts to thicken I throw it away. 

The 3.1 Phillip Lim x NARS in Dark Room is the perfect addition to my fall nail polish collection. Let's talk about that brush; I have small nails but this brush allows me to swipe once and be done with it, it applies like a dream.

Brand Focus : Make Up For Ever

Even though I bathe in all the beauty and the cosmetics for this blog and for the sole purpose of my happiness, there is always a couple of brands that remain new to me. What I love most is to try out a brand and test different products, because you can be satisfied with the foundation but very possible that you won't be able to deal with the lipsticks. 

A good well-rounded market research is always a good excuse ;)

The Real Liner

If you know me, you know I love me a good cat-eye look with the perfect black line. Let's be honest though, it takes a while to get the hang of it and to master to liner situation. I've always been super picky on the products I use for my liner, from liquid to gel, that's sort of a pain in the bum because you need a brush and so...but this time I was very much surprised. 

Enter the Benefit They're Real push-up liner.

A Royal Revolution

I will be honest, the celebrity perfume trend has sort of died down...but nonetheless I'm the curious girl that always smells the new releases. This time, I had the sneak peek smell on the new Katy Perry Royal Revolution perfume. 

The Royal Revolution scent is a floral but sweet perfume which usually is right up my alley. The perfume is composed with some of my fave notes : pink freesia, pomegranate, mystical blackthorn, orange flower, velvety jasmine, sandalwood, soft musk and vanilla orchid. 

As soon as Vanilla is part of the notes of a perfume, I am usually sold. But can we just talk about the bottle, it looks like a genie's magic potion ;)

Sally Hansen : Miracle Gel

You can say Miracle all right ;p

I have a thing for pastels and this summer it has definitely become my weak point. Add a gel finish to the mixture and I am the happiest girl in the world.

Sally Hansen has seriously been on there A game recently and they have gained the top spot on my list with this new Miracle Gel Manicure formula. I always say that I love the lazy girl's product, well I'm not lying because I hate applying my mani and being stuck with my fingers in the air and not being productive, I just can't deal.

My goal this summer was to find the perfect pair of sneakers because as you can tell, I've been wearing my Nike's to death. Luckily, I fell upon this gorgeous pair of Palladium Flex Lace sneakers that were exactly what I was looking for, the perfect white pair of kicks.

The comfiest the sneaker, the happier the girl !
