Ok, so the 90's lip vibe has become a real problem in my life. You know that feeling when you are absolutely obsessed with something that when you go shopping you only see similar things to the item or trend you are obsessing over? Well, that happens to me absolutely all the time. If I am obsessed with ripped denim, for example, every time I go into a store, I will be always leaning towards ripped denim and then end up with a crazy collection. That's exactly what's been happening to me for 3 months now, with 90's lips and let's not kid ourselves, we know it's Kylie that brought back the 90's. All in all pretty much obsessed, can't stop, won't stop. Because on each and every one of my Instagram pics I was getting the "what lip color are you wearing?" question, I decided to show you my strong brownish-mauvish lip color contenders. We all know this list is growing by the minute ;)

Ok, donc, la tendance des lèvres aux couleurs des années 90 a vraiment pris le dessus de ma vie. Oui, très matérialiste comme commentaire, mais le maquillage me rend super heureuse! Vous connaissez ce sentiment qui nous pousses toujours à acheter la même chose lorsque nous sommes obsédée par une tendance ou un produit? Et bien, je vis cela à chaque fois. Un moment, je peux être obsédée par les jeans déchirés et je me retrouve à toujours magasiner des jeans déchirés dans chaque magasin. Je vais toujours me pencher vers la même chose et je vais ramasser avec la plus grosse collection (non nécessaire). En ce moment, c'est exactement ce qui se passe avec les rouges à lèvres/crayons à lèvres des tons bruns/mauves et ce, depuis au moins 3 mois. On ne va pas se le cacher, mais on sait très bien que c'est Kylie qui a ramené la tendance des années 90. Bref, je ne peux pas m'arrêter et je ne crois pas avoir envie de m'arrêter (pas encore en tout cas). En fait, je me ramasse à porter cette teinte de rouge à lèvres presque à chaque jour et dans chacune de mes photos Instagram et je me fais toujours questionner. Alors, j'ai décidé de vous en faire un petit article et partager avec vous mes favoris du moment. Par contre, nous savons très bien que cette liste n'arrête pas de grandir;)

Fall is always a transition period for me. Even though it's my absolute favourite season in terms of fashion, on the beauty side, it tends to be a bit more difficult. If I could be tanned all-year long and have access to sunshine, I would be the happiest girls in the world. It seems a tad ironic, I love the fall weather for layers but need the summer sun for that glowy skin. Well, when you bronzed skin disappears, you need to find new ways of feeling "bronzed" again. These are my current must-haves in the makeup department. As you can see, it's not much but it really does the tricks.

1. Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in Purple Tulip: A cream blush in a fall hue that gives the perfect glow.

2. Clarins Fix' Make-up: I've been spritzing this everyday once my makeup is done and it leaves my skin with the perfect complexion while holding my makeup on for the day.

3. CND Vinylux Weekly Polish: Natural white neutral nails always for the win.

4. Clarins Instant Light Complexion Illuminating Base in Golden Caramel: Litterally, the perfect way of cheating a bit on your tan. I use a very thing layer as a base and then apply my tinted moisturizer. 

5. MUFE Pro Bronze Fusion: Bronzer must be my fave makeup product and this MUFE is the perfect hue to achieve the natural bronzed look. 

6. Caudalie Vinoperfect tinted moisturizer: My current personal fave, I can just slap it on with my hands and it gives me the perfect amount of natural coverage.

L'automne est toujours une période de transition pour moi. Malgré le fait que l'automne est ma saison préférée en terme de mode, côté beauté, je trouve cela plutôt difficile. Pourquoi? Et bien, si je pouvais avoir une bronzage à longueur d'année, je serai la fille la plus heureuse sur la planète. Tout ceci peut sembler très ironic, j'adore l'automne et sa température, mais j'ai besoin de rayons de soleil de l'été pour garder mon teint de rêve. Au moment où mon bronzage disparaît, j'essaie toujours de dénicher des moyens pour repousser le moment où j'ai presque l'air d'un fantôme. Voici mes astuces du moment en terme de maquillage. Comme vous pouvez l'observer ceci ne consiste pas en beaucoup de produits, mais je crois vraiment que "less is more". 

1. Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom - Purple Tulip: Un blush en crème dans une teinte très automnale est une bonne façon d'aller chercher une apparence radieuse. 

2. Clarins Fix' Make-up: Je spray ce produit chaque jour à la fin de mon maquillage et ma peau a automatiquement une superbe allure et mon maquillage reste en place toute la journée.

3. CND Vinylux Weekly Polish: Je ne peux me passer des couleurs neutres pour l'automne. 

4. Clarins Éclat Minute Base Illuminatrice: Selon moi, la meilleure façon de tricher et d'obtenir un beau teint. J'utilise ce produit comme base et j'obtiens automatiquement une bonne mine bronzée. 

5. MUFE Pro Bronze Fusion: Le bronzer est vraiment mon produit maquillage chou-chou et ce dernier me donne le teint naturel parfait, sans avoir l'allure d'être revenue d'un voyage dans le sud. 

6. Caudalie Vinoperfect fluide teinté: Mon produit préféré du moment, car je peux l'appliquer très facilement avec mes mains et j'obtiens un teint uniforme.

How I get my bronze on

Since coming back from vacation, the number one question I get all the time is : how are you still tanned? My skin has always retained a tan for a very long time, I can keep tan lines for a full year but I obviously need a bit of help to keep up the bronze look. Here are my tools :

1. The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub: you need to exfoliate before any self tan application, it's the key to success if you ask me!

2. Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid: Secret #2 - Add a primer with radiance to your foundation and you get that instant vacation glow. 

3. Clarins After Sun Moisturizer Self Tanning: this is pretty much the secret to extending your tan. You apply this cream post-vacation or post-sun-exposure and the tan just continues while your sleeping because of the self tanner it contains. Also, the fact that it's moisturizing helps your skin keep the tan on. No streaks, no orange color.

4. Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning: the secret to the tanned face. For me, the body part that looses the tan the fastest in my skin...such sadness ;( By applying this product on my face before bed, I am sure to wake up with a tanned fresh face in the morning.

Depuis mon retour de vacances, la question qui revient le plus souvent est: comment es-tu encore si bronzée? Ma peau a toujours gardé mon bronzage pendant très longtemps, je peux garder des lignes de bronzage pendant presque un an de temps, mais il est évident que j'ai besoin d'un peu d'aide pour maintenir le look bronzé. Voici mes outils :

3. Clarins Baume Après Soleil Rehydratant Auto-Bronzant: ce produit est pas mal le secret de mon bronzage. On peut appliquer cette crème post-vacances ou post-exposition-au-soleil et le bronzage continu pendant qu'on dort car le produit contient un auto-bronzant. De plus, le fait que la crème est super hydratante permet de garder le bronzage beaucoup plus longtemps. Pas de lignes, pas de couleur orange.

4. Clarins Eau Lactée Auto-Bronzante: le secret pour le visage bronzé. De mon côté, l'endroit de mon corps qui perd son bronzage le plus rapidement est mon visage...tristesse ;( En appliquant cette crème sur mon visage le soir avant de dormir, je me reveille avec le plus beau halo.

New Clarins players

Winter is almost knocking on our doors and when winter hits, my face suffers. Why you may say ? Dry skin ? Acne ? Not at all, my problem is the dull complexion. I have a thing for a tan, I just can't get enough, I feel healthier and more confident with a nice little tan. And no, I do not encourage going to the tanning beds but adding a little extra oumph to your skin with a tad of foundation can make you look healthier. 

My choice for the soon-to-come winter months are these new additions by Clarins : Clarins True Radiance and Clarins Skin Illusion. Both these foundations add the healthy factor to my skin by making it glow and not looking like an oil spill. Clarins Colours of Brazil Collection 2014

It's always fun to fall upon a good summer collection, the perfect bronzer, the perfect lips, the whole nine yards. Obviously, Clarins never disappoints with the Colours of Brazil 2014 Collection ;p

I missed out on this gorgeous bronzer last year and let me tell you when I saw the ads for this collection, I was jumping of joy ! The Clarins Bronzing Compact has the perfect bronzing colour, it does not make you look orange and I feel like it would complement multiple skin tones. 

For the eyes, a good neutral palette always makes me happy. The Clarins Colours of Brazil Eye Quartet offers the perfect nude colours with the hint of a gorgeous blue liner that adds that pop of colour to a nice summer makeup look. 

Finally, it was love at first sight when I saw these Clarins Lip Balm Crayons. I got my hands on the colours Creamy Pink and Delicious Plum. These Crayons leave such a nice effect on the lips, they don't offer a heavy colour payoff but sometimes that's exactly what you need for a nice day at the office or a relaxed weekend look. They smell very similar to my all time favourite Clarins product : Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. Clarins Instant Light Base

When summer knocks on our door, I usually ad a primer to my makeup routine. 

But this time the primer hit on my door way before summer and it treated me so well, even through our harsh winter. 

I am talking about the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base.

This product literally changed my face this winter and I am certainly going to keep up the good use this summer. All winter long, I was adding these two different colours of the Clarins Instant Light Base to dose the colour of my foundations and to add the perfect amount of glow. 

Also, a second way and the real utilisation is to apply the Clarins Instant Light Base all over your face, right before your makeup. The darker colour would immediately give me a nice bronzy halo, which would help me look alive and the lighter color was the perfect base for my foundations that are a bit more matte. Either way the Clarins Instant Light Base was and is my foundations best friend. I tried it with liquid foundation, mineral powder, tinted-moisturizer and BBcream and it always give a one man show :)

I found the perfect way to add a bit of summer to your daily ritual. 

If you know me, you must know that I become SO tanned in the summer it's crazy but once September/October hits up the tan leaves me so quickly. I am one that adores the sun, the feeling of heat on my skin, the gorgeous glow it enhances your face with, so I am always on the look out for the best tanning product to brighten up my harsh winters.

My 2013 Product Revelation

When someone asks you "what was the best product you discovered in 2013 ?", let's be honest it's a very hard question to answer. For me, this week, when I asked myself this question, I knew the answer right away. 

You know when you're on the hunt for the best...hand cream, face cream, shower gel, etc. well, I tend to be that type of person who is always looking for the best of the best, the cream of the crop. This year I came across amazing products that I had the opportunity to try out. Also, when I say that something is good, it's because I usually have something else to compare it too. 

Let me put you in perspective : I have a thing for lip balms. I search and search and search until I find the right one and this year, I DID. 

I have lip balms everywhere I turn, from my winter coats, to my handbag, to my purse.

I have big news !

Next, Tuesday November 5th, Sears Carrefour Laval is hosting their annual Cosmetics Gala and I have been invited to host my own booth were the ladies can come check out my Top 10 favourites beauty products.

This Gala is happening on November 5th from 1pm to 9pm, I will be present from 5pm to 9pm at my own little Lapiz of Luxury booth.

From that amount, 2$ will go to a called "Foundation Belle et Bien dans sa peau", a foundation that helps women with cancer take care of themselves with beauty and makeup sessions while in treatment.

Eyes through the World of Clarins !

For a while, I was the liquid liner type of girl but during the summer I tend to go lighter on the makeup front and resort for alternatives.

Clarins offers an array of Eye Pencils that last amazingly on the lid, from blacks to colors. I had the chance to try these pencils for a couple of weeks and I completely fell in love with them. Starting with the new Fall 2013 Khôl Eye Pencil, I tried the black version (01) and the brown version (02). These pencils did not transfer on my lids and stayed put all day, I would add the brown Clarins Khôl Eye Pencil to all of my eye looks to replace my winged liquid liner and use the black Khôl Eye Pencil for my night time looks. 

Now for the Waterproof version of these Eye Pencils, these pencils glide on like butter and they don't budge. I used the Waterproof Eye Pencil in 02 Brown all summer on my lash line and it was perfection!
