Recently, I have been deeply contemplating getting a new handbag, a nice handbag to go with my new professional job ;p
I searched and searched for the perfect size, strap, colour and shape and I am pretty sure my heart found the right partner...now I have to choose between the mommy, the sister or the baby!
The 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli
I shall soon take the leap, the leap of Lim that is !
When summer knocks on our door, I usually ad a primer to my makeup routine.
But this time the primer hit on my door way before summer and it treated me so well, even through our harsh winter.
I am talking about the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base.
This product literally changed my face this winter and I am certainly going to keep up the good use this summer. All winter long, I was adding these two different colours of the Clarins Instant Light Base to dose the colour of my foundations and to add the perfect amount of glow.
Also, a second way and the real utilisation is to apply the Clarins Instant Light Base all over your face, right before your makeup. The darker colour would immediately give me a nice bronzy halo, which would help me look alive and the lighter color was the perfect base for my foundations that are a bit more matte. Either way the Clarins Instant Light Base was and is my foundations best friend. I tried it with liquid foundation, mineral powder, tinted-moisturizer and BBcream and it always give a one man show :)
You must take a peak at these at your nearest Clarins counter !
I got my hands on this gorgeous white leather jacket from Joe Fresh during my recent stay in NYC for NYFW. I had a little time in between shows to shop and play tourist.
Leather Jacket Joe Fresh | Blouse H&M | Jeans Target | Shoes Zara | Necklace Zara | Sunglasses Prada
When my partner-in-crime and I fell on the grandiose 5th Avenue Joe Fresh store, I just couldn't help it...and little do you know we went b-a-n-a-n-a-s. All sale had an extra reduction, we got amazing pieces for such as mere price.
I am not one to wear white because I always find a way to stain it and drop sauce or something, but I made it a point this spring and summer to act like an adult and wear white. A white leather jacket was the perfect first addition to the closet !
A couple of months ago, I fell upon this mug and I knew at that exact moment - I need that !
I am very proud to be from Montreal and I love a little display of some 514 love in my house, hence this mug from the cutest e-shop AliceInMontreal.
Back to the mug, the best part is that the black profile is painted with the chalkboard liquid, so you could leave messages to your loved ones on the mugs ;p
I just couldn't deal with the cuteness, which is why I also decided to offer a AliceInMontreal mug to my gorgeous Montreal people.
You could be the lucky winner of this AliceInMontreal mug by following the simple rules in the giveaway box. This is a Montreal based giveaway because the mugs are very fragile and I would love to hand it out to you in person :)
Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend the College LaSalle Signature 2014 fashion show. I certainly wasn't going to miss my school's big night :)
It's crazy to see the work of young students on a runway. The pieces are made with such attention and detail, it was marvellous to see all the hard work pay off.
I am always so impressed with the artistic direction behind a fashion show and this one was certainly on point. From the lighting to the images displayed during the walks, it was all so cohesive and professional.
LaSalle College is known to be the best Fashion School in Canada and they certainly lived up to their big title during the Signature 2014 fashion show.
I decided to add a new feature to the blog, a Brand Focus. The brand focus will either be a new discovery for me in the beauty or fashion world or simply some of the top products you should try in the range of the brand.
This week, I am diving in the world of Maybelline. Tell me who has never owned a Maybelline mascara in their life ?!
I found the perfect way to add a bit of summer to your daily ritual.
If you know me, you must know that I become SO tanned in the summer it's crazy but once September/October hits up the tan leaves me so quickly. I am one that adores the sun, the feeling of heat on my skin, the gorgeous glow it enhances your face with, so I am always on the look out for the best tanning product to brighten up my harsh winters.
I don't do tanning beds because that causes quasi automatic wrinkles to your face and I want to keep my youth as much as I can ;P. I try to keep it healthy but while still being able to fight the pasty whiteness when winter comes.
Enter the new Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster which is basically sun in a bottle. If you have been reading my blog for a while you must know my love for the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning. This month, Clarins came up with this new invention : the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster Serum. Basically, this it the tan in a bottle for lazy girls (hint-hint ;p). You add 2 to 3 drops of this baby to your daily moisturizer and apply it to your face day and night. After only 3 hours you will start to notice a slight tan to your face. I promise you will not end up looking like a oompa loompa, which is the beauty of the Clarins tanning products, in my opinion.
This product is a MUST try, even the palest person will see an effect. A definite must-try in my book for this summer !
Took advantage of a fun family day to include my little cousins in my shoot. At first, they were shy but my little fashionista quickly came around and next thing you know she was posing !
A couple of weeks ago, I fell upon this new Montreal based nail polish company called Trust Fund Beauty and was immediately drawn to the name. I am a huge nail polish hoarder and this was definitely no exception.
The company's motto is to bring out every girl's "inner rich bitch, no matter her financial situation". I think the best part is that Trust Fund Beauty is Vegan, Cruelty-free and is free of the Big 5 chemical ingredients present in most of the nail polishes out there (Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate (DPB), Camphor, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin).
Also, who can say no to some crazy nail polish names like "What's a budget", "Big Spender", "Champagne Problems" just to name a few.
Imagine giving out these names when someone asks you what's the name of your nail polish colour, I just can't wait ;p
And what's amazing is that they actual last a good 5-6 days on your nails without chipping !
