I have a love/hate relationship with winter for the following reasons. I absolutely adore the fashion that comes with the winter season because it's all about the layering, however, as a Canadian we have to deal with the freezing cold, the inches of snow, the slush, the not wanting to leave the house/hibernation and so much more. This winter, to brighten up my mood because let's be honest with winter comes zero sun, I decided I wanted to incline my wardrobe towards winter whites and a palette of nude colors. Being Canadian ain't no joke. But all smiles now, let's talk fashion and the 5 fashion must-haves to stay cute this winter!

Rudsak & Ruby

New year, new me? Maybe! This year, I decided that maybe I should integrate a bit more colour into my wardrobe. Slowly but surely as they say! However, this outfit is all about this gorgeous Rudsak shearling vest, just to die for. You might think ''ok this is a vest you cannot wear in winter'', well, think again, because despite the fact that this look is over a simple dress, I currently have the Rudsak Tarlee vest over my winter wool jacket. Extra layers means extra cozy but always super stylish ;) Stay tuned, I'll make sure to show you how I layer this vest over my winter coat!

Nouvelle année, nouveau moi? Peut-être! Cette année, j'ai décidé qu'il était peut-être temps d'intégrer un peu de couleur dans ma garde-robe. Un peu à la fois. Par contre, la clé de ce look c'est la veste en shearling Rudsak, une beauté! Vous pensez probablement ''ok on parle d'une veste, impossible de la porter en hiver?'' Et bien, détrompez-vous! The little black boots

Well, well, well if it isn't my favourite pair of shoes that ever existed? Yes, I am a creature of habit and I absolutely adore black boots, especially black ankle boots. I've talked about my love for this type of shoe so many times now that I sound like a broken record but let's be honest, you really cannot go wrong with them. Et bien, si ce n'est pas ma paire préférée de paire de souliers ? Oui, j'ai mes petites habitudes que je ne délaisserai jamais et les petites bottes noires font parties de cette routine. Quand ça vient à mon amour pour cet article de mode, je suis plutôt comme une cassette qui n'arrête pas de se répéter. Mon amour est fou, car on ne peut vraiment pas se tromper avec des bottes noires. Chaque année, les petites bottes noires sont la star du monde des souliers, car chaque fille en veut et en multiples. Current shoe lust

If you have a quick browse on any of my social media platforms you should have guess by now that I have a serious addiction to nothing other than ankle boots. Summer or winter, it's pretty much an all-year round addiction but it really flourishes and reaches its ultimate high when fall comes. They are the perfect way to add a little spice and funk to any outfit. I've also been on a major running shoes kick with the work I've been doing with New Balance and all. It really makes all the difference when you try on a pair of New Balance shoes, I doubt you will want to change. So, basically here is an all over current shoe lust list ;) Enjoy !

Si tu te promènes un peu sur mes médias sociaux, tu auras peut-être deviné que j'ai vraiment une addiction pour les bottillons. Été comme hiver, c'est vraiment une addiction qui s'étend sur toute l'année et qui atteint vraiment son summum en début d'automne. Les bottillons se porte à l'année longue et selon moi, c'est la façon la plus facile d'aller ajouter du kick à un outfit un peu trop féminin ou girly. De plus, cette année, les souliers de course se sont rajoutés à cette addiction grâce au travail que je fais pour New Balance, un vrai plaisir. The boho look with a splurge 2.0

This summer, I showed you how to rock the summer boho look on a budget (see here & here). This time, it's time to adapt the boho look for fall. I must admit, the full look is an extra budget look but the sunnies add the perfect amount of boho and yes, they are a splurge. Fall must be my favourite time of the year and I find it's the perfect time to rock the dark neutrals and earth tones. I just could not put this look together without including these Ah-mazing Chloé sunnies. Sunnies aside, let me introduce you to my current fave pair of booties, the Aldo Etiwiel, literally the boho dream. The color of these boots got me hooked from the first second I layed eyes on them. I knew they had to be paired with a suede skirt. Once again, I wanted to show you that you can find really good pieces at different stores and put-together a look that looks expensive for barely 250$ (excluding the sunnies of course). 

Cet été, j'ai partagé avec vous comment adopter le look boho (voir ici et ici) avec un budget. Cette fois-ci, j'adapte le look à l'automne. Je dois vous avouer que tout le look est très abordable, mais j'ai du y rajouter une petite touche de glam avec les lunettes de soleil. L'automne est vraiment ma saison préférée, car c'est le moment idéal pour adopter la tendances des tons de terre. Je ne pouvais pas amalgamer cet ensemble sans y rajouter ces lunettes de soleil de chez Chloé qui me rendent absolument folle. Mettons les lunettes de côté, laissez-moi vous présenter mes bottillons chou-chou du moment, les Aldo Etiwiel, littéralement la botte parfaite bohème. La couleur de ces bottes m'a accroché au premier regard. Je savais qu'ils devaient être jumelés avec une jupe en suède. Une fois de plus, je voulais vous montrer qu'il est possible de trouver de très bonnes pièces venant de différents magasins à bons prix. Une fois agencé ces derniers peuvent vous donner un look à une allure dispendieuse pour à peine 250$ (excluant les lunettes de soleil bien sûr).

Black booties forever

With fall here, I am currently going crazy over booties. It has become quite a problem actually. Every website I browse, my main focus is on black booties. This week, I was browsing the Shopbop website and once again, it was all about black booties. I wanted to share with you my selection (here) that are quite affordable. Can a girl really own too many pairs of black booties? 

Avec l'automne qui vient d'arriver, je suis en train de virer folle sur les bottines. C'est même devenu un petit problème. Chaque site je navigue, mon objectif principal est de trouver des bottines noires. Cette semaine, je survolais le site Shopbop et encore une fois, il était question de bottines noires. I don't know if this is a sickness but as soon as a big chain store announces a collab with a designer, I get hooked. I am quite the sucker for limited-edition situations. A couple of years ago, while I was strolling the streets of Paris, Isabel Marant was a local designer selling from her boutiques and not many people new of her designs. She meshes the poshness of Parisian chicks with the rocker and cool feel of the Californian girl.

Nowadays, she be ballin' for introducing the world to the new sneaker which everybody and their mom has. Yet, this year, she decided to mesh her creativeness with the people at H&M and create a line that is "affordable" for the public.

This Thursday November 14th the infamous Isabel Marant X H&M is launching and things are gonna get crazayyyyy ! I can already imagine the crazy lineup in front of the store. I say, get ready, make a list and know what you want !

*UPDATE : Project 10*

It is now November and I come to you with the Update of the ''Project 10'' that I tried to respect during the month of October !

And ......Drum Rolls !!!!!

I DID IT !

I respected the rules and managed to get only 10 items, which includes clothes, jewelry, haircare, nail polish and beauty items.

Here is my little roundup for you guys !

1- First, I made a little trip to Dynamite, which is a clothing store, and I was invited to an event where 20% was offered ! Obviously, I couldn't pass it up ! I pretty much got only ''Peplum'' items, I purchased 2 peplum tops, very versatile, for a Day-Look than can easily be transformed into a Night-Look, with nice black leather-ish Jeans. Then, I got this fabulous Little Black Peplum Dress, LBPD, for a night out, which I will post this week as a fashion post on the blog !

 

2- I have heard so much of the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks, so I decided to check out what the hype was about. I got the #10 and it is a beautiful blue-toned red color that has amazing staying power, and such an affordable price, approximately 6$CAN, very cheap !

 

3- I have spoken before about my love for the Phyto Hair Products and this product is Holy-Grail material, the PhytoLisse Hair Mask. I have super frizzy hair and this tames the hell out of them ! You apply this product after your shampoo, leave it in for 2-3 minutes and rinse it off. If you blow dry your hair right after, you get a fabulous effect, no frizz and sleek hair ! This hair mask is pretty costly at around 41$CAN but totally worth it if you have crazy unruly hair.

 

4-5 I cannot express enough my love for these 2 necklaces. A wonderful girl named Jenn makes these wonderful pieces and sells them on her Etsy shop called EllandEmm, and they sell out almost 5 minutes after she posts them. Her store is one of the most coveted Etsy stores in the Blogger/Fashion community and I will dedicate a full blog post to her store, since I have grown a certain addiction and I have accumulated a couple of pieces. Her jewelry instantly dress up a plain outfit such as a white t-shirt and jeans, and spices up a Little Black Dress for a quick outfit of the night ! If you can get your hands on her items, you definitely should and fast !

 

6- This is no shock, but I got another Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, this time in a more fall color ''Adore''. I will post a full review of these on the Blog in the upcoming weeks.

 

7- Once again, an Essie product, I just can't live without these polishes, every 2 seconds Essie comes out with a new collection and obviously I have to check it out. This time I got the color ''Don't sweater it'' a wonderful brown/gray that is a perfect fall color.

 

8- Last but not least, I got myself some Rocker/Biker Boots from Spring. These boots add an instant pick me up to any dull outfit !

 

 

So here it is, I DID IT, I managed to respect my challenge and made it through the month !
