Jellyfish

Let me just start by telling you that it’s been a very long time since I’ve enjoyed a Montreal restaurant like we enjoyed JellyFish. JellyFish is a restaurant that offers a menu mixed between raw and charcoal cooked meals. The location is absolutely amazing. Perfect decor, very spacious but yet cozy, you are guaranteed to be served by a very cool staff. We had the chance to try their menu on a Saturday date night and we were really pleased by the exotic array of different meals, each and everyone influenced by the chef's travel experiences. Can you spot that amazing piece of bacon on my drink? It was so delicious. Oysters for the win and obviously a little meat but one of the ultimate features was the McCrab, a bao bun with fried crab, it was delicious. In my books, Jellyfish is really the place to be in Old Montreal right now, it's super mature and posh without costing you an arm and a leg, the perfect date spot or night-out-with-the-girls restaurant where you know you'll end up having a great meal.

The Perfect Mug : Alice in Montreal

A couple of months ago, I fell upon this mug and I knew at that exact moment - I need that !
I am very proud to be from Montreal and I love a little display of some 514 love in my house, hence this mug from the cutest e-shop AliceInMontreal
AliceInMontreal is an e-shop that was created by the gorgeous Aurélia who had the genius idea of creating mugs with the profile of Montreal. Obviously, the name AliceInMontreal comes from the movie Alice in Wonderland but her inspiration behind the name also comes from a book called Aliss written by Patrick Sénécal, who is my all-time favourite author. I remember back in high school, the teachers would get mad at us, because we were all reading his books during class lectures.

Back to the mug, the best part is that the black profile is painted with the chalkboard liquid, so you could leave messages to your loved ones on the mugs ;p
I just couldn't deal with the cuteness, which is why I also decided to offer a AliceInMontreal mug to my gorgeous Montreal people.

You could be the lucky winner of this AliceInMontreal mug by following the simple rules in the giveaway box. This is a Montreal based giveaway because the mugs are very fragile and I would love to hand it out to you in person :)

Good luck to all !

Everybody wants a Trust Fund

A couple of weeks ago, I fell upon this new Montreal based nail polish company called Trust Fund Beauty and was immediately drawn to the name. I am a huge nail polish hoarder and this was definitely no exception.

The company's motto is to bring out every girl's "inner rich bitch, no matter her financial situation". I think the best part is that Trust Fund Beauty is Vegan, Cruelty-free and is free of the Big 5 chemical ingredients present in most of the nail polishes out there (Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate (DPB), Camphor, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin)

Also, who can say no to some crazy nail polish names like "What's a budget", "Big Spender", "Champagne Problems" just to name a few.

Imagine giving out these names when someone asks you what's the name of your nail polish colour, I just can't wait ;p

And what's amazing is that they actual last a good 5-6 days on your nails without chipping !
