I have a love/hate relationship with winter for the following reasons. I absolutely adore the fashion that comes with the winter season because it's all about the layering, however, as a Canadian we have to deal with the freezing cold, the inches of snow, the slush, the not wanting to leave the house/hibernation and so much more. This winter, to brighten up my mood because let's be honest with winter comes zero sun, I decided I wanted to incline my wardrobe towards winter whites and a palette of nude colors. When a Canadian tells you that it's possible to look cute during winter, it's real advice! Our winters last about 6 months and it gets so hard to look cute and presentable on a work day or during the weekend. But, I'm here to tell you that I made it a point this winter to step up my game and to show you that you can still put together stylish outfits without being exposed to the cold. 

Quand une canadienne vous dit qu'il est possible d'avoir de beaux looks en plein hiver, et bien, c'est un vrai conseil! Nos hivers durent environ 6 mois et il est si difficile d'avoir l'air mignonne et présentable que ce soit pour une journée au travail ou durant le weekend. Mais, je suis ici pour vous dire que je me suis mis un but cet hiver et c'était de faire un effort sur mes looks, afin de pouvoir vous montrer qu'on n'est pas obliger de sacrifier le style pour avoir l'air trendy en hiver, sans être exposé au froid bien sûr!

The Land of Treasures !

This weekend, I decided to head to my hairdresser's for a little pick me up haircut. I wanted to shorten the length slightly in order to reduce my getting-ready time in the morning. This little trip to the hairdresser led to a very short hair situation, which I was not to fond of at the beginning, but I've had short hair before, even shorter than what I have now and it's nothing I can't get use to.

 

Okay, too much rambling. Long story short....In order to style my hair, I needed to purchase a smaller curling iron, where do I go, Winners.

Winners is the land of adventure, the land where you can find the prettiest and most coveted treasures.

Another post on the perks of being Canadian !

When your are Canadian and your winter lasts over 3 months, you need to find a way to incorporate some color to your wardrobe to brighten up your days.

Here is my take on adding pops of color.

You can add some color with accessories such as a handbag or a nice beenie.

Or with busting out your trusty colored trousers.
