Fall for Denim

Denim Jacket Zara | Jeans Old Navy | Knit 424 Fifth | Booties Zara | Pearls NewSocialClass

This summer my obsession for denim reached another level, I was casually rocking the Canadian tuxedo on a regular basis. Yesterday, it was spring in November, what better time to bring back the double denim outfits. Can you spot my current obsession, these gorgeous NewSocialClass pearl earrings ? People have stopped me in the street to ask me where I got these babies from ! A definite trend this fall/winter ;)

Tucked in

Coat Zara | Turtleneck Zara | Pants Zara | Earrings FoxyOriginals | Sneakers Nike

I've never been the type of girl that wears massive jewelry on a daily basis, the classic stud or pearl fits perfectly in my lifestyle and with every outfit. This time, I found a way to add a little twist to the classic earrings with the Spire Earrings from FoxyOriginals. I've seriously worn this pair of earrings everyday since receiving them and I got so many compliments since. A pair of earrings that can go from a day to a night outfit very easily whilst always maintaining the classic vibe ;)

Foodie Friday - Modavie Restaurant

Last month, I had the amazing opportunity of wining and dining at Modavie Restaurant in the Old Port. The perfect date night spot. Let me tell you between three jobs, the blog and family, it's hard to make time to just relax and sit back and enjoy. Why 2 jobs you say ? Because I love them all ;)
Focus on the food : Modavie.  My grandpa always told us we had a special gene in our family, the love for food. We just enjoy it so much and to try new restaurants is the creme of the crop in my opinion.

On a quiet Friday night, my partner in crime and I dined at Modavie, the cutest restaurant in the Old Port that host live music 7 days a week. That night was jazz night !

We started off with amazing entrees : Foie Gras au torchon, beef tartare & scallops Provençale. Then we had our lamb-based meals that are known as the speciality of the restaurant : rack of lamb with goat cheese and the juicy lamb burger.
I would like to point out that apart from the food, service is super important in a restaurant experience and Modavie are champions in that matter. We observed the way they were serving other guests and the waiters and the manager exuded a real family vibe.

Modavie is a definite must-try restaurant in the heart of the Old Montreal

Grey Knits for life !

Sweater Dynamite | Dress Joe Fresh | Boots Zara | Backpack LF from NYC| Sunnies Ray-Ban

This fall and winter my favourite combo is officially grey+knits.
This duo makes everything so cozy and comfy. This dress from Joe Fresh is the latest addition to my cozy wardrobe, perfect for those days spent in the coffee shops correcting exams and preparing classes. I added the perfect Sweater from Dynamite from the beginning of the season and that I got so much wear out of !

What's your go-to fall/winter color palette ?

New Clarins players

Winter is almost knocking on our doors and when winter hits, my face suffers. Why you may say ? Dry skin ? Acne ? Not at all, my problem is the dull complexion. I have a thing for a tan, I just can't get enough, I feel healthier and more confident with a nice little tan. And no, I do not encourage going to the tanning beds but adding a little extra oumph to your skin with a tad of foundation can make you look healthier.

My choice for the soon-to-come winter months are these new additions by Clarins : Clarins True Radiance and Clarins Skin Illusion. Both these foundations add the healthy factor to my skin by making it glow and not looking like an oil spill. For those days I do not want to wear a full face of makeup, I add a drop of these foundations to my day cream and end up with the perfect tinted-moisturizer, you should definately give it a go !

Clarins foundations are def some new key players in my foundation game ;)

Black Denim

Fluffy Coat H&M | Black Jeans Gap | Sweater L'Aubainerie | Kicks Nike | Sunnies RayBan

In the last couple of months, I've had a serious love affair with black denim. I've never been much of a blue jeans kind of gal, I always steer towards black pants, black leather pants, black denim or black trackpants. This month, I got the chance to take part in the Gap BlackDenim DressNormal campaign so that I can show you how I style my Gap Black Denim. I chose these distressed looking jeans that add a bit of twist to your regular pair.

Do you like to wear black denim ?
