#SayHi to Old Navy

In June, I had the absolute pleasure of flying to Toronto to #sayhi to the Old Navy team. If you've been a long time reader of blog, you must know that I love me some Old Navy. I always manage to find amazing pieces from Old Navy and they just incorporate perfectly in my wardrobe. That is exactly what Lapiz of Luxury is all about: mixing and matching everything, feeling comfortable and making sure you look your best no matter your size! Old Navy understands this statement perfectly and that's why I love collaborating with them. 

En juin, j'ai eu le plaisir de me rendre à Toronto pour dire un petit coucou à l'équipe de Old Navy. En étant un lecteur de longue date de mon blogue, vous savez probablement que j'adore Old Navy. Je parviens toujours à trouver des supers morceaux chez Old Navy et ils intègrent parfaitement ma garde-robe. C'est exactement le but de Lapiz of Luxury: mélanger et combiner tout, se sentir à l'aise et veiller que vous vous sentiez sur votre 110%, peu importe votre taille! Old Navy comprend parfaitement mon école de pensée et c'est pourquoi j'adore collaborer avec eux.

Going back to the fabulous event they hosted in Toronto. They took-over the rooftop of the Thompson hotel and make it all about summer. From an ice cream bar, to a fun makeup station, to a little shopping corner, they made sure we were ready to start the summer right! For the occasion, I was obviously repping some Old Navy and picked up a couple of pieces that a more colourful that I usually opt for, but this was a perfect exercise as I am making it a point to add more colour to my wardrobe for summer :) I think I might have 10 pairs of Old Navy Rockstar jeans in my closet, so this was a given, Then, I chose this super comfy paisley printed blouse and topped it off with a classic white jean jacket. I felt super comfortable and I can easily mix-and-match these pieces all summer long.

Revenons au super évènement auquel j'ai eu la chance de participer à Toronto. Nous avons été transporté dans un univers estival sur le toit de l'hôtel Thompson. D'un bar à crème glacée, à une station de maquillage, à un petit coin où on pouvait remplir notre sac de plaget, ils se sont vraiment assurer de nous équiper pour passer un superbe été! Pour l'occasion, j'étais évidemment habillé en Old Navy et pour faire différent et bien débuter l'été, j'ai opté pour des morceaux un peu plus colorés :) Pour les jeans: je pense que j'ai probablement 10 paires de jeans Old Navy Rockstar dans mon placard, donc c'était évident que je voulais porter ma paire préférée pour cet évènement. Ensuite, j'ai choisi cette blouse imprimée que j'ai complété avec jacket en jean blanc. Lorsque je prépare un look, mon but premier et le confort et c'est exactement ce que j'ai opté pour l'évènement Old Navy.

Tropical print

You know I'm not one to wear so much colour on my blog and on Instagram and in real life but recently, I've been trying to make an effort. Let's be real, the weather is driving me absolutely nuts, so I've  decided that if the weather won't let me dress like summer at least with colour, I can fake it ;) Then, Reitmans challenged me to rock their new summer tropical print and I obviously could not say no. Reitmans launched an amazing new tropical print for summer and it has a black base which what perfect for me ;) Also, the print is not crazy loud and is very very wearable for work and perfect for Sunday brunch, which is exactly what I did last Sunday ;) I chose to rock this tropical print with a jumpsuit, which is most probably my favorite thing about summer. I love wearing jumpsuits because they are super easy and fall into the same category than dresses for me. It's a one-stop-shop type of outfit. For this look, I paired the Reitmans tropical print jumpsuit with gold heels, my fave straw hat and I felt so comfortable and ready for a little stroll around town.

Vous me connaissez bien et vous savez que je ne porte pas beaucoup de couleurs, ni sur mon blogue, ni sur Instagram et dans la vie, mais récemment, j'essaie vraiment de faire un effort. Soyons honnête, la température ces temps-ci me rend absolument folle, alors j'ai décidé que si le temps ne me permet pas de m'habiller comme l'été au moins avec la couleur, je peux le fausser ;) Ensuite, Reitmans m'a mis au défi de styler leur nouvel imprimé tropical et je ne pouvais pas refuser. Reitmans a lancé un nouvel imprimé tropical pour l'été et ce que j'adore le plus c'est la vase noire, qui est parfaite pour moi ;) De plus, l'imprimé n'est pas très extrême ce qui le rend très facile à porter pour le travail et parfait pour le brunch du dimanche, ce qui est exactement ce que j'ai fait dimanche dernier ! J'ai choisi de balancer cet imprimé tropical avec une combinaison, ce qui est probablement un des coup de coeur de l'été. J'adore porter des combinaisons, car elles sont super faciles et tombent dans la même catégorie que des robes pour moi. C'est look super facile. Pour ce look, j'ai jumelé la combinaison de chez Reitmans avec des talons en or, mon chapeau de paille préféré et je me sentais tellement confortable et prête pour une petite promenade dans la ville.

Rediscovering my closet

Summer may be over but I am still hanging on to it, because well, you never know. One of my favorite things to do, is rediscovering my closet. On the weekends, I love browsing through my closet and re-falling in love with pieces I had forgotten about. Mostly, what I love the most, is styling this long lost piece in a completely different way that I wore it the first time. Going through this little exercise also helps me declutter pieces that I know I won't wear anymore and this way, I can make place for new ;)  This time, I found this vest, that I wore over a turtleneck in the winter and paired it with my linen shorts and my current fave nude heels for a very summery sexy outfit for date night. This outfit may be one of my favorite ones, as I feel super good and comfortable in it and I love the head-to-toe beige look. You know me and monochrome ;)

L'été est peut-être terminé, mais, avec tous ces changements de température, on ne sait jamais. Une des choses que j'adore faire, c'est redécouvrir mon garde-robe. Le week-end, j'aime bien parcourir mon garde-robe et re-tomber en amour avec des pièces dont j'avais oublié. La plupart du temps, je vais retrouver une pièce et l'agencer de façon totalement différente, afin de créer un nouveau look. En faisant, ce petit exercice, je me débarrasse de plusieurs morceaux que je sais que je n'aime plus et cela me permet de faire un petit ménage. Plus de place pour des nouveaux morceaux ;) Pour ce look, j'ai retrouvé une belle veste beige que j'avais porté en hiver avec un col roulé. J'ai décidé de la porter sans rien et de l'agencer avec des shorts beiges en lin et mes nouveaux talons préférés pour une tenue un peu plus sexy. Ce look est un de mes préférés, car je me sens super comfortable et sexy et vous savez à quel point j'adore le look monochrome. Même couleur de la tête aux pieds ;)

Off-the-shoulder

Yes, everyone and their mothers are wearing the off-the-shoulder trend and I clearly jumped on the train. I'm not going to lie, I was kinda worried it was not going to suit me well because of my strong bust but you just have to search for the perfect top and I found it (and many others) at Banana Republic. One thing I absolutely adore at Banana Republic is that they clothes are made for the regular women.

Oui, tout le monde ne fait que parler ou porter les hauts qui tombent sur les épaules et j'ai clairement décidé de joindre le groupe. Je ne vais pas vous mentir, j'avais un peu peur que cette tendance n'allait pas avantager mon corps vu mon buste, mais j'ai effectué des recherches et j'ai trouvé le haut parfait chez Banana Republic. L'aspect que j'adore le plus de chez Banana Republic, c'est que leurs vêtements sont taillés pour la femme régulière.

Summer dressing with Reitmans

Montreal weather can certainly play tricks on us and the minute the sun shines, we get so excited. Well, no kidding after 6 months of winter, we better be happy! For myself, summer is my favourite time, it’s my birthday, it’s travelling season and it’s the best time to rock dresses. As girls, we have so many options of beautiful dresses in the summer and they are the perfect no-fuss fashion clothing item.

Two weeks ago, I made a little trip to Reitmans to take a look at their summer dress selection and I was so pleased. I’m not going to kid you I think I’ve passed the age of tight and short dresses and that is what I love most about Reitmans dresses: they are work-friendly, family brunch friendly and can still be sexy if you want too. I walked-in the store with a plan: find the perfect LBD. I was looking for a looser fit little black dress that is not too short and that can be worn at the office and for a date-night and that is exactly what I found. The open-shoulder details add that perfect touch of sexy classy. This Reitmans little black dress was made for the perfect date night with my love in New York City last week and I know I’ll be wearing it again this week at work with loafers ;) What more can a girl ask for?!
