The Metro Edit: 3 looks

Last month, Ever and I decided to work on a fun little personal project: an editorial looking photoshoot in the Montreal Metro and this is the result. We had such a fun time running around the Metro and photographing different looks. I absolutely love getting creative and adding a little spin on the way I display my looks for you ladies. It's very easy to get stuck in a creative rut and I think sometimes it's important to think outside of the box. I hope you enjoy it! 

Le mois dernier, Ever et moi avons décidé de travailler sur un petit projet personnel: un photoshoot un peu plus éditorial dans le Métro de Montréal et voici le résultat. On a tellement eu de plaisir a courir dans le métro pour trouver les meilleurs endroits. J'adore être créative et essayer quelque chose de différent de temps en temps. C'est très facile de se retrouver dans un petit blocage créatif et je crois qu'essayer quelque chose de nouveau de temps en temps et penser de façon différente aide beaucoup. J'espère que vous aimez le résultat!

LouLou Magazine feature

*Warning - Things will get cheesy in the next lines ;p

Last June, I got an email that made me jump out of my seat from the amazing team at LouLou Magazine. I've been a loyal LouLou reader for years and when they contacted me to take part in one of their articles as one of the 12 Canadian girls to follow on Instagram, I died (see online article here). We scheduled a date and next thing you know, I was getting my hair and makeup done by amazing artists and frolicking the streets of the Old Port of Montreal trying to find the perfect spot for my photoshoot with the gorgeous sisters behind the dynamic duo of photography Lily & Lilac. This day will be forever engraved in my memory. As the magazine hit stores last week and I received nothing but love and support from all my friends, family and all of you guys (my Internet family), I took a second for myself and realized that all the super hard work my boyfriend and I have been putting into this baby (our blog) is fruitful and greatly appreciate it. As many of you know, blogging in not my main job, I am a College teacher and I absolutely adore my career. I write articles, take pictures and created this blog only because I felt like sharing my take on fashion with the rest of the world. I dedicate time in my week on the blog not because I feel obliged or pressured but I write articles and create content because I adore every minute of it. Yes, blogging comes with perks and fun events but the satisfaction and happiness I feel after completing a project or shooting an amazing fashion look trumps everything and everyone. After seeing my picture printed on a magazine that even my cousin in Vancouver can buy, my motivation is at an all-time high and that is all thanks to you, my amazing readers. I can create content all I want but if there is no one to read it and support it, the motivation can lack. I'm taking this time to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Ok, now I promise the cheesy bits are over. Amazing projects are coming our way for the next couple of months, so make sure to stay tuned and follow us on Instagram.

En juin dernier, j'ai reçu un courriel de la part de l'équipe de Loulou Magazine qui m'a fait sauter de mon lit. Je suis une lectrice fidèle de LouLou depuis des années et lorsqu'ils m'ont contacté pour participer à l'un de leurs articles comme une des 12 filles canadiennes à suivre sur Instagram, je n'en revenais pas (voir article Web ici). Nous avons prévu une date et quelques jours plus tard, j'étais assise sur une chaise entrain de me faire coiffer et maquiller par de superbes artistes. Je gambadais dans les rues du Vieux-Port de Montréal, afin de trouver l'endroit parfait pour mon photoshoot avec les magnifiques sœurs derrière le duo dynamique de la photographie Lily & Lilac. Cette journée sera à jamais gravé dans ma mémoire. Alors que le magazine est tombé en vente la semaine dernière et que je n'ai reçu que de l'amour et du soutien de la part de tous mes amis, ma famille et vous tous (ma famille Internet), j'ai pris une seconde et j'ai réalisé que tout le travail ardu de mon copain et moi porte fruit et est grandement apprécié. Comme certains d'entre vous le savez déjà, Lapiz of Luxury n'est pas mon emploi principal, je suis une professeure de Biologie au cégep et j'adore ma profession. J'écris des articles, je prends des photos de look et j'ai créé ce blog seulement parce que je sentais le besoin de partager mon point de vue sur la mode avec le reste du monde. Je dédie du temps sur le blog non pas parce que je me sens obligé ou sous pression, mais je rédige des articles et je créé du contenu, car j'adore cela. Oui, le monde des blogues peut avoir certains avantages et on participe à des événements amusants, mais la satisfaction et le bonheur que je ressens après avoir complété un projet ou un super look l'emporte sur tout le matériel et tout le monde. Après avoir vu ma photo imprimée sur un magazine que même ma cousin à Vancouver peut se procurer, ma motivation est à un niveau record et tout cela est grâce à vous, mes lectrices. Je peux créer du contenu tant que je veux, mais s'il n'y a personne pour le lire et le soutenir, la motivation peut manquer. Je prends ce moment pour vous remerciez chacune et chacun d'entre vous du fond de mon cœur. Ok, maintenant je promets les moments émotifs sont terminés. Dans les prochains mois, nous avons de supers projects en vue, alors assurez-vous de rester à l'écoute et suivez-nous sur Instagram. Sears Carrefour Laval Cosmetics Gala

I have big news !

Next, Tuesday November 5th, Sears Carrefour Laval is hosting their annual Cosmetics Gala and I have been invited to host my own booth were the ladies can come check out my Top 10 favourites beauty products.

This Gala is happening on November 5th from 1pm to 9pm, I will be present from 5pm to 9pm at my own little Lapiz of Luxury booth.

You can purchase a ticket at the Sears Carrefour Laval cosmetics counter for 10$ and 8$ of that amount will be reused in any purchase that you make that night. From that amount, 2$ will go to a called "Foundation Belle et Bien dans sa peau", a foundation that helps women with cancer take care of themselves with beauty and makeup sessions while in treatment.

Sears Carrefour Laval offers an array of cosmetic counters with many of my personal favourite brands : Clarins, Clinique, Lise Watier, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Shisheido, Elizabeth Arden, Biotherm & so many perfumes to choose from. 

Here is a little photoshoot I did for the event. To be honest, Sears isn't the place where I would think to shop, but I found so many cute pieces. The key is to mix your high-end with your bargain bits and you can definitely find bargain at Sears.
