Going to Osheaga with New Balance

Comfort is the pretty much the only think that matters when you decide to book tickets for a summer festival (aside from the cute outfit) ;). Nothing says comfort like the perfect pair of kicks for a full day on your feet. As you may know, I am a brand ambassador for New Balance since September and I honestly could not have thought of a better partner for this Osheaga season. This year, we will be attending Osheaga on Friday and Saturday and I will show you how to style your New Balance shoes to a festival outfit. Yes, you can wear kicks with a dress and I will show you how cute it looks. Osheaga is only a couple of days away and I still haven't made up my mind but my choices are between these 3 new pairs. 

Le confort est à peu près la seule chose qui m'importe quand je décide d'acheter des billets pour un festival d'été (en dehors de ma tenue bien évidemment) ;). Rien ne dit confort comme la parfaite paire de souliers pour une journée complète debout. Comme vous le savez, je suis ambassadrice pour New Balance depuis septembre et honnêtement, je ne pouvais pas pensé à un meilleur partenaire pour cette saison d'Osheaga. Cette année, nous serons présents à Osheaga le vendredi et le samedi et je vais partager avec vous mes looks de style festival en les combinant avec mes souliers préférés New Balance. Oui, vous pouvez porter des souliers de course avec une robe, car New Balance donne cet aspect lifestyle avec ses souliers et vous allez bien voir à quel point c'est super stylé. Osheaga c'est dans quelques jours et je n'ai toujours pas décidé quelle paire devrait être l'heureuse élue. Mes choix sont entre ces 3 nouvelles paires.

You cannot go wrong with an all black look. This pair of 420 re-engineered solid New Balance shoes exude style with its sleek vibe, they are the perfect fit for a girly bohemian dress. 

Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec un look tout en noir. Cette paire de New Balance 420 noire émane super style classique, ils sont vraiment l'accessoire parfait pour une petite robe bohème. 

A little bit of grey goes a long way! You know me by now, I absolutely love grey and pairing the New Balance 996 v3 with an all-denim look can take your look from casual to urban flair in a second. The perfect comfy festival look with a twist.

Ajouter du gris à un look, c'est une de mes choses préfs et vous le savez ;) Combiner cette paire de New Balance 996 v3 avec un look tout en jeans, c'est une façon super facile d'ajouter une touche urbaine, le look de choix pour un festival, mais avec une petite touche de fashion. 

Finally, the New Balance Vazee Rush Sweatshirt are basically like walking on clouds. Pairing this shoe with black denim shorts, a white boho blouse, the perfect choker and hat is an instant festival get-up. I'm telling you comfort is always key! 

Finalement, une fois les New Balance Vazee enfilées, vous vous sentirez sur un nuage. Ajouter cette paire de souliers à un look de short en denim noir, une belle blouse blanche bohème, un choker et un chapeau, vous obtenez un look très festival et vous êtes certaine d'être super comfortable toute la soirée.

Brooklyn stroll with Aritzia

When in New York city, take in all the amazing decor and architecture in and shoot some content. Our trip to New York city was the perfect creative pick-me-up and exactly what the doctor had ordered ;) Getting lost in Brooklyn was one of the best parts, wandering around with no specific goal. To do so, you surely need the best outfit. If I tell you that I own this pair of pants in 4 different colours, would you believe me?! I DO. In my books, Aritzia just nails their collections, season after season. It is very but VERY hard for me to leave a store empty-handed. Why you may say? For many reasons. Most of the clothing is very work appropriate and age appropriate. This means, that I could wear a top to work and also want to wear it on the weekends for a night out and still feel sexy, which I find is a quality that is very hard to find. The quality of the items is outstanding and the color palettes, well, if you know my love for monochrome, you know why I love Aritzia. For our Brooklyn stroll that day, I had opted for a tone on tone look with two of my favourite Aritzia classics: the Babaton Dexter pants and the Wilfred Bertillon blouse. When I saw these pieces in-store, I automatically knew I wanted to pair them together and break it with a little khaki.

Quand on arrive à New York, on prend le temps de bien profiter de l'architecture, du décor et quoi de mieux que d'y prendre des photos pour créer du contenu. Notre voyage à New York a vraiment été ce que j'avais besoin en terme de motivation et exactement ce que le médecin avait ordonné ;) Se perdre dans Brooklyn a été l'une des meilleures parties, errant dans les rues sans but précis, pur plaisir. Pour ce faire, il faut toujours la meilleure tenue. Si je vous dis que je possède cette paire de pantalons en 4 couleurs différentes, me croiriez-vous ?! Et bien OUI. Selon moi, Aritzia ne cessent de m'épater avec leurs collections, et ce, saison après saison. Il est très, mais très dur pour moi de quitter un magasin les mains vides. Pourquoi ? Pour de nombreuses raisons. La plupart des vêtements sont très approprié. Cela signifie, que je peux porter un haut au travail et aussi l'agencer le weekend pour un look de sortie un peu plus sexy. De plus, la qualité des articles est remarquable et les palettes de couleurs, eh bien, si vous connaissez mon amour pour le monochrome, vous savez pourquoi j'adore Aritzia. Pour notre promenade à Brooklyn, j'avais opté pour un look ton sur ton avec deux de mes classiques préférés de chez Aritzia: le pantalon Babaton Dexter et la blouse Wilfred Bertillon. Dès que j'ai vu ces pièces en magasin, je savais que je voulais les jumeler et rompre un peu le look avec du khaki.

Such khaki

It may seem like my love for color only limits itself to grey, black and white but I also have a special place for neutrals, especially khaki. In my opinion, khaki is a color that suits a lot of skin tones and is very easy to match. A lot of people seem intimidated by khaki but it can easily be mixed and matched with other neutrals or monochrome colours. However, for this look, I was really going for the one color fits all option, as it's the easiest way to leave the house in the morning. I remember in high school, I found it weird to dress in the same colour from head to toe. Well, today, I'm the biggest believer of monochrome outfits !

Selon mes récentes tendances, on pourrait dire que les couleurs de mon garde-robe se limitent beaucoup au gris, noir et blanc, mais c'est faux ! Je réserve toujours une petite place spécial pour les couleurs neutres, spécialement le khaki. Selon moi, le khaki est une couleur qui convient à plusieurs plusieurs tons de peau et elle s'assortit très facilement dans un look. Beaucoup de gens semblent intimidés par la couleur khaki, mais elle peut facilement être mélangée et combinée avec d'autres couleurs neutres ou mes trois mousquetaires préfs (noir, gris, blanc). Par contre, pour ce look, j'ai vraiment opté pour le look total en khaki, car je ne vais pas vous le cacher, mais c'est la façon la plus rapide de quitter la maison. En écrivant cet article, j'ai eu un petit flashback. Au secondaire, je me souviens qu'on trouvais cela super bizarre de s'habiller de la même couleur de la tête aux pieds et bien aujourd'hui, je suis la plus grande fan des tenues monochromes!

Charlotte Tilbury in Canada

Beauty addicts hold the phone and hands on keyboard, Charlotte Tilbury has arrived in Canada. I follow the gorgeous UK YouTubers and I was literally drooling on all their Charlotte Tilbury purchases for the last couple of months. They all kept raving that the quality is amazing and they were completely right. Last month, I got my hands on a couple of products from the range that just dropped in Canada and I already have an online basket filled with more goodies. During the summer, I rock the natural look. For this makeup look, I applied the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to chic in Love Glow and a little bit of the Eyeliner The Classic in Audrey. Coral is always all-the-rage in summer and I find it's the perfect way to tie in a very natural look. Here I applied the Lip Cheat in Pink Venus and added the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Coachella Coral lipstick. The consistency of these products is amazing. I already have a bunch of lip pencils and lipsticks on my radar. J'ai toujours suivi les magnifiques britanniques surYouTube et je bave littéralement sur tous leurs achats Charlotte Tilbury depuis quelques mois. Get this Holiday Look ?

This Holiday season, its time to take your Sequins out !

 

Here is an outfit I sported at my work Christmas Party and I am sharing with you how to get the look !

 

It is all about the PANTS !

 

I found these babies at H&M for an alarming 40$, after drooling over a pair at BCBG that were over 200$, but why pay 200$ for a pair of pants that you are most likely to wear once. Then the outfit came together by itself.

 

I was going for an androgynous look, so I paired the sequin pants with a bow-tie top from VeroModa from last year's collection. But here is a very similar alternative from Forever21 for only 27.80$.

 

Then I added a Red Blazer like this one from Forever21 for a whopping 39.80$.

 

For shoes, I wore these Spring captoe pumps that you can get on special right now for 24.49$.

 

Accessories are the key to any outfit, for this look, I went gold-toned, with my Michael Kors watch and my new bracelets from Mikaylove. The seller, Christianne makes the most amazing Chanel-esque jewelry that will add a little something to any outfit. Check out her Etsy store Mikaylove.
