Summer dressing with Reitmans

Montreal weather can certainly play tricks on us and the minute the sun shines, we get so excited. Well, no kidding after 6 months of winter, we better be happy! For myself, summer is my favourite time, it’s my birthday, it’s travelling season and it’s the best time to rock dresses. As girls, we have so many options of beautiful dresses in the summer and they are the perfect no-fuss fashion clothing item.

Two weeks ago, I made a little trip to Reitmans to take a look at their summer dress selection and I was so pleased. I’m not going to kid you I think I’ve passed the age of tight and short dresses and that is what I love most about Reitmans dresses: they are work-friendly, family brunch friendly and can still be sexy if you want too. I walked-in the store with a plan: find the perfect LBD. I was looking for a looser fit little black dress that is not too short and that can be worn at the office and for a date-night and that is exactly what I found. The open-shoulder details add that perfect touch of sexy classy. This Reitmans little black dress was made for the perfect date night with my love in New York City last week and I know I’ll be wearing it again this week at work with loafers ;) What more can a girl ask for?!

Closet wish list

My current closet consists of pretty much the classic trio of colours; black, grey and white. Sometimes I do add a touch of neutral and explore the worlds of neutrals and khakis. During my closet clean out of last week, I realized I was really lacking dresses and I went on the hunt. This is what I found at one my fave online stores Shopbop.

Yesterday, I shared with you a cozy LBD look from Aritzia. As I'm growing older, I'm steering away from the tight dresses and opting for the classier yet sexy options. One of my favourite little hobbies is online shopping, whether it's for myself or for others, I absolutely adore surfing the Web to preview the new goodies in the stores. One little black dress is never enough and during my search, I found these 4 amazing black dresses from Shopbop. I always end up on that website, adding so many items to my wish list! 

Hier, j'ai partagé avec vous un look super confo avec une petite robe noire de chez Aritzia. Depuis un certain temps et avec l'âge, je me redirige vers des robes lousses et plus classes versus des robes moulantes et ajustées. Un des mes passetemps préférés est le magasinage en ligne, que cela soit pour moi ou pour les autres, j'adore surfer le Web pour voir les nouveautés. Une petite robe n'est jamais assez, alors ce weekend, je me suis retrouvée sur le site de Shopbop où j'ai trouvé ces 4 petites robes noires à de bons prix. D'une manière ou d'une autre, je me retrouve toujours sur Shopbop et je remplie mon panier d'achat à n'en plus finir!

My Aritzia Spring Summer plans

Have you seen the greatness in the Aritzia stores yet ? If not, then you need a little trip, asap. What I love the most about Aritzia is the effortless chic and the refined vibe. This spring-summer for me it will be all about denim, suede, monochrome outfits and essentials but I just can't seem to narrow down my choices from Aritzia = major wallet problems ;)

Avez-vous jetez un coup d'oeil à la collection incroyable dans les magasins Aritzia? Si non, et bien, un petit voyage doit être mis dans l'agenda. Ce que j'aime le plus d'Aritzia c'est le look chic sans effort et l'ambiance épurée des pièces. Cette saisons printemps-été, pour moi, il sera question de denim, de suède, de tenues monochromes et des morceaux essentiels, mais je n'arrive pas à raffiner mes choix de chez Aritzia = problèmes majeurs pour le portefeuille;)

Karen Millen in our homeland

Karen Millen, the British brand decided to open their first Canadian store and which better city that the great Montreal. 

 Karen Millen is best known for the perfect fitted knit dress to the amazing but classic leather jacket. 

I must admit, since I started my new corporate yet fashionable job my sens of style has changed a bit. I will invest in pieces I know I could wear from the office to a more casual vibe and sincerely, the minute I entered the Karen Millen boutique, that exact vibe hit me. I wanted to get my hands on every single piece in the store, from the gorgeous fitted to perfection dresses to the colourful dresses. 

And please let's not even discuss the topic of fall, because that day, I fell in love with my future husband of coats, the coat of all coats ;p
