Skincare Simplicity

Sticking to simplicity and originals is the key to a good makeup look in my opinion. When I'm talking skincare or anything that will be applied to most of my face, I mainly resort to the same brands, because I trust them. For the summer, if I need to wear makeup, I stick to tinted moisturizer and BB creams. I'm currently rotating between these 3 amazing products. The newest from Vichy, the Idéalia BB cream has been my go-to for those breezy days . I have a tendency to oily skin and I strictly apply the BB cream to the areas where I need coverage but mega bonus is the SPF25. The Vichy Idéalia BB cream really offers a dewy finish to the skin. Secondly, for more of a matte finish and more control on my oily zones, the Caudalie Vinoperfect is my choice. And finally, my all-year-round fave is the Marcelle BB cream. The coverage on this product is really surprisingly amazing for my liking. Summer is definitely the moment where you can ditch your foundation and rock a more natural look.

Dès que j'entame le sujet de produits pour le visage, je veux m'assurer de bien faire confiance aux produits que j'utilise. Pour la période de l'été, si je dois porter le maquillage, je m'en tiens à des BB crèmes et des crèmes teintées. Actuellement, j'alterne entre ces 3 produits. Le plus récent bébé de Vichy, la crème Idéalia BB qui est mon go-to pour les jours un peu plus venteux. J'ai une peau grasse et j'applique strictement la BB crème sur les zones que je veux camoufler et le méga bonus est le SPF25. La crème Vichy Idéalia BB offre vraiment une finition plus lustrée sur la peau. Deuxièmement, pour un fini mat et plus de contrôle sur mes zones huileuses, Caudalie Vinoperfect est mon premier choix. Et enfin, mon préf que j'utilise à l'année longue est la BB crème de chez Marcelle. Ce produit m'a grandement surpris, il assure une super bonne couverture des zones à cacher. L'été est certainement le moment où vous pouvez mettre votre fond de teint de côté et adopter un look plus naturel.

NYC Goodies

The beauty lover in me always needs to find the newest and the greatest and the cheapest. When we talk less expensive and amazing quality, we need to discuss the king of that game New York Color makeup. I tried out these 3 products and I am definitely going for more next trip to the drugstore. The New York Color Smooth Skin BB cream is a new contender, the color I picked up was a bit light but I surely made good use of it!  I added a pea-size amount to my dark foundations that have a glow factor and I ended up with the perfect shade and the perfect balance of glowy and matte. Also, to reduce shine during the day, I keep the New York Color Skin BB Radiance Powder in my purse and it gives me the perfect touch up with a slightly bronzed look. Last but not least, my current favorite lipstick formula the New York Color Expert Last lip color, one word, WOW ! I am so impressed by the formula of these lipsticks, so moisturizing, so pigmented and they say all day without feeling heavy on the lips. I need to make a trip to my drugstore to pick up more shades, that's for sure!

L'obsédée beauté en moi a toujours besoin de trouver le plus récent et le meilleur et le moins cher. Si nous parlons de produits non dispendieux et de bonne qualité, nous devons discuter du roi de la game de maquillage,  New York Color. J'ai essayé ces trois produits et lors de mon prochain voyage à la pharmacie, je vais refaire le plein. Tout d'abord, le New York Color Smooth BB crème est un nouveau joueur, la couleur que j'ai ramassé était un peu pâle, mais j'en ai fait un super usage! J'ai ajouté une toute petite quantité, la grosseur d'un pois à mes fond de teints trop foncés ayant un effet plus brillant et j'ai obtenu la teinte parfaite avec le meilleur fini. Aussi, pour réduire la brillance pendant la journée, je garde le New York Couleur BB Radiance Poudre dans mon sac et je l'applique au courant de la journée pour mattiffier la brillance et obtenir une petite teinte de couleur.  Le dernier mais non le moindre, ma formule de rouge à lèvres du moment, le New York Color Expert Last lip color, en un mot, WOW! Je suis tellement impressionnée par la formule de ces rouges à lèvres, super hydratant, très pigmentée et ils durent toute la journée sans vraiment sentir la lourdeur d'un rouge à lèvres sur les lèvres. C'est certain que je dois me faire un petit tour à la pharmacie pour ramasser plus de teintes de ce rouge à lèvres!

Crazy for Burberry

Every time Burberry comes out with a new collection, I am on it ! Why you may say ? Apart the fact that I have an addiction, Burberry is the type of brand (for me) that I know everything will be good. I was hesitant on trying a new base product, because I like to stick to something that works without creating an issue such as breakouts, that can often occur. The Burberry BB Cream loved my face and my face loved the Burberry BB Cream, I chose the color Dark No.03 which is the perfect match. The Burberry BB Cream leaves a dewy finish and offers good coverage. 

Also, I got the Burberry Concealer in Rosy Beige No.03 which is the perfect mix between a corrector and a concealer for me. A one step combo for those mornings I need some concealing action.

Finally, I can never refuse a good nail polish and if you mention navy polish in front of me, I am on it ! This Burberry Nail Polish in Ink Blue is the perfect transition color from summer to fall. There is something very classy about navy nail polish ;)
