How to look cute in winter

When a Canadian tells you that it's possible to look cute during winter, it's real advice! Our winters last about 6 months and it gets so hard to look cute and presentable on a work day or during the weekend. But, I'm here to tell you that I made it a point this winter to step up my game and to show you that you can still put together stylish outfits without being exposed to the cold. 

Quand une canadienne vous dit qu'il est possible d'avoir de beaux looks en plein hiver, et bien, c'est un vrai conseil! Nos hivers durent environ 6 mois et il est si difficile d'avoir l'air mignonne et présentable que ce soit pour une journée au travail ou durant le weekend. Mais, je suis ici pour vous dire que je me suis mis un but cet hiver et c'était de faire un effort sur mes looks, afin de pouvoir vous montrer qu'on n'est pas obliger de sacrifier le style pour avoir l'air trendy en hiver, sans être exposé au froid bien sûr!

The oversized trend never left - NYFW Day 2

There is a little back story to this outfit. So, for the first time ever, I was so prepared for New York Fashion Week in terms of organizing my outfits. I had everything planned out and had taken pictures of my full looks to facilitate the packing process. Side note, next time I pack for a trip, I will try and film or at least visually catch my whole packing process because I have a system.  Back to the story, so I had all my outfits planned out and photographed and my amazing boyfriend offered to steam 2 of the blouses I was going to bring with me. He did and when it came to packing, I wanted to add them as the last thing. But guess what we forgot on my clothing rack and realized in the car 30 minutes away from New York. This meant I had 2 outfits for the whole weekend down the drain. No worries, Adidas came to save the day. While walking in Soho, I stumbled upon the Adidas store and I was in complete heaven. They are doing street style at its finest. I marched in, saw this dress and I just knew. It was oversized, perfect to be worn over pants, perfect to be worn alone, just perfect. Oversized is a trend that is here to stay in my opinion. We can do so much with it. You can belt any oversized sweater or dress and cinch and accentuate your waste. You can layer with oversized pieces, you can use the oversized trend to transform a sweater into a dress. The possibilities are endless and this full Adidas look says it all. I added my puffer jacket and white boots to be #1 comfy but also, for that stylish twist.

Bien évidemment, il y a une petite histoire qui accompagne ce look pour la Semaine de la Mode à New York. Pour la première fois, j'étais super bien préparée pour l'occasion. J'avais tout planifié mes tenus et j'avais pris des photos chaque look pour faciliter le processus des valises. Petite note, la prochaine fois que je fais mes valises pour un voyage, je vais m'assurer de filmer ou prendre des photos et écrire un article, afin de vous montrer tout mon processus, car j'ai un petit système. Retour à l'histoire: alors j'avais toutes mes tenues planifiées et photographiées et mon copain m'a offert de repasser mes deux blouses, afin de me sauver du temps. Quel amour! Quand il est venu le temps de mettre les blouses dans la valise, je me suis dit que j'allais les placer en dernier, pour ne pas les froisser. Évidemment, en chemin à New York, à 30 minutes de Manhattan pour être exacte, nous avons réalisé que les blouses se retrouvaient encore sur mon porte-vêtements dans ma chambre. Maintenant, cela voulait dire qu'il allait me manquer 2 tenues. Pas de soucis, Adidas est venu à la rescousse. En marchant dans Soho, je suis tombée sur le magasin Adidas et je ne savais pas par où tourner la tête. Il n'y a personne comme Adidas pour créer des pièces vraiment ''street style''. Je suis entrée dans le magasin, mes yeux se sont rapidement ruées sur la robe et j'étais vendue. Cette robe qui vient complètement chercher le look "oversized'' était la pièce de résistance qu'il me fallait pour compléter mon look. Le look ''oversized'' ou sur-dimensionné est une tendance qui est ici pour rester. Il est tellement facile d'agencer des pièces que nous retrouvons dans notre garde-robe de façon différent soit en ajoutant une ceinture à un pull ou une robe, ou en portant une robe ''oversized'' par-dessus des pantalons. Les possibilités sont infinies et ce look complet Adidas vous montre une façon de porter le look ''oversized''. J'ai ajouté mon manteau et des bottes blanches pour être confortable, mais aussi, pour cette petite touche d'excentrisme.

It took many weeks of convincing to put the photographer on the other side of the lens and to display his fashion look on the blog. 

For this occasion, he decided to sport the KateMossXPlayBoy Marc by Marc Jacobs tee in order to celebrate PlayBoy's 60th anniversary. Paired with coloured jeans, this amazing H&M coat and his best accessory the Nikon, the boy has the perfect casual nonchalant look.

I must say he did a very good job, now let's convincing him for more boy fashion looks !

Adidas is a cult classic brand. When I was in high school I would covet the newest Adidas tracksuit and save up money to be able to buy it and rock it at school. 

When I heard that TOPSHOP was collaborating with Adidas, I was so excited. TOPSHOP is such an eclectic brand that really fits with my personality and my style and the collaboration with Adidas, my all-time favorite sports brand was too good to be true.
