Top 5 Makeup Highlighters

I decided to transform this You Tube Tag into a Blog tag and to present to you my Top 5 Highlighters.

Highlighters are a makeup item that are not used by most women, but that can definitely brighten up a dull face. You do not have to apply it everyday, but on a night out, it reflects the perfect amount of light of your face and appears beautifully on pictures.

For all you that do not know where to apply your highlighter, this one is for you, because it is very easy to become a Disco ball if the highlighter is not applied correctly.

Here is a small image to show you the perfect place of your face to apply highlighter to get that J.Lo Glow !

But note to self : DO NOT GO OVERBOARD !

To pursue in the same direction, I wanna share with you my TOP 5 Highlighters of choice.

1) Marcelle Highlighting Powder
2) Chanel Lucky Stripes Powder (limited edition)
3) MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Blonde (limited edition)
4) Dior Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond
5) Dior Shimmer Powder in Rose Diamond
If I had to recommend one highlighter that every girl should have in her makeup kit to brighten up any makeup look, it would be the Dior Amber Diamond !
Go definitely take a browse at your Dior counter :)
Enjoy !

Get this Holiday Look ?

This Holiday season, its time to take your Sequins out !
Here is an outfit I sported at my work Christmas Party and I am sharing with you how to get the look !
It is all about the PANTS !
I found these babies at H&M for an alarming 40$, after drooling over a pair at BCBG that were over 200$, but why pay 200$ for a pair of pants that you are most likely to wear once. Then the outfit came together by itself.
I was going for an androgynous look, so I paired the sequin pants with a bow-tie top from VeroModa from last year's collection. But here is a very similar alternative from Forever21 for only 27.80$.
Then I added a Red Blazer like this one from Forever21 for a whopping 39.80$.
For shoes, I wore these Spring captoe pumps that you can get on special right now for 24.49$.
Accessories are the key to any outfit, for this look, I went gold-toned, with my Michael Kors watch and my new bracelets from Mikaylove. The seller, Christianne makes the most amazing Chanel-esque jewelry that will add a little something to any outfit. Check out her Etsy store Mikaylove.

If you have any questions, to hesitate to leave a comment.

Enjoy !

November Favorites

Here are my Favorites for the month of November !

Clockwise from the top :
1- MAC Woodwinked : This eyeshadow should be present in all makeup kits, it works perfect from day to night and adds the perfect amount of color to your lids.

2- Maybelline MegaPlush Mascara : I have trouble with drugstore mascaras but this one is amazing. One of my biggest pet peeves are mascaras that make your lashes crunchy and most of the drugstore mascaras tend to do that, but this one doesn't and adds the perfect amount of curl and volume to your lashes. I will do a more in depth review on all 3 new Maybelline Mascaras soon on the blog.
3- L'Oréal Lineur Intense in Rock Brown : I have been on the hunt for the perfect brown liquid liner for an everyday makeup look without having the harsh black liner look, and after many attempts I found the perfect one. You must give this L'Oréal Liquid Liner a try, I got mine in the color..... and it has made me very happy.
4-  Laura Mercier Mineral Powder : Do not be fooled by the term ''powder'', forget MAC Studio Fix or what not, this product will change your life. The Laura Mercier Mineral Powder will transform your face from frumpy to glowy in a heartbeat, it's easy to apply and does not give you the cakey look, topped with the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray (see post here) you are sure to have a glowy face all day.
5- Lise Watier Undercover Creme Concealer : Oldy but goody, I have rediscovered this concealer in my makeup collection after using it for so many years and it is doing the job on covering my little imperfections this month due......drum rolls...........SCHOOL
6- EllandEmm Jewelry : I kept the best for last <3
I cannot start to explain how much love I have for this jewelry line. Jenn, the artist, gives us the best of classy and chic in an array of different colors within her collection, that sells out in a jiffy on Etsy. Make sure you visit her Etsy shop and get your hands on one of her pieces. I will soon dedicated a whole blog post on the pieces I have gotten from her, but I am waiting for some recent purchases ;)

All extra information available is linked on the product name.

Hope you enjoyed this !

Nail of the Week : CHANEL Malice

Oh, what can I say, Chanel barely gets it wrong with me !
This month I was impatiently waiting for the Chanel Holiday 2012 collection, that I had evidently added to my Fall Makeup Wish list. I got the call from Ogilvy and I was there the following week. To be honest, I really only wanted to pick up this fabby nail polish, so I resisted for the Eyeshadow Quad but..... I might go back :)
Enough talk, let's get down to business !
Here is Chanel Malice !
Now Chanel rarely makes unique nail polish shades but this one hits the spot.
Chanel Malice is a dark vampy red that has the right amount of shine, nothing too glittery or sparkly, just the perfect amount of reflection with natural sunlight. It is hard for me to explain how gorgeous this nail polish is. You must think : ''Okay, this girl is cray-cray, it's just a regular burgundy nail polish'', but NO !
Once you see it in person, you will know ! This color will never go out of trend and can be kept in your collection for ages !
You should definitely take a browse at your Chanel counter, but don't blame me if you end up at the cash credit card in hand ;)
Enjoy !

Kickin'it HighTop Style

I was really feeling iffy about these type of shoes for a long time, the famous ''Wedge Trainers'', we all know that Isabel Marant created this trend and it exploded all over the world in obviously cheaper versions. So, I decided to give it a try, and after only a day, I couldn't take them off, they can break down any outfit and make it casual yet so comfortable and chic.

For a casual study day, I decided to pair these ASOS Wedge Trainers with comfy leggings and a loose sweater to be comfy and productive !

(Glasses Prada, Utilitarian Jacket - Sweater - Scarf H&M, Leggings American Apparel, Earrings Gorjana, Handbag Longchamp, Shoes ASOS)

Enjoy !
